Kids in Foster Care, right here in our community, are in need of some basic items. When they are removed from their homes they often have a matter of minutes to collect some belongings to take with them, often using trash bags to transport their stuff. We would like to help the Columbia County Department of Family and Children Services(DFCS) by collecting bags and basic necessities to help this transition in between homes. Will you help us?!
We are collecting duffle bags, gym bags and suitcases as well as the items listed below. These will be given to social workers to provide to children in foster care. Will you take a few minutes today to sort through your house and see if you have any bags in great condition that you'd be willing to donate? Or if you are out shopping, would you consider adding a few extra items to your shopping list that could be donated? Together we can make at least a small difference in these kids lives.
