11 Things to do in Augusta this Weekend June 15-17


5k Fun Run - Saturday - Steiner Branch Family YMCA is hosting a family 5k fun run. Registration starts at 8 AM, race begins at 9 AM. Vendors, crafts and a bounce house will follow.

Augusta Burgers & Beer Week - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 8 local restaurants will have a special $8 burger that is not on the regular menu. Visit, eat a burger, share your post #augustaburgersandbeer, vote and you could win gift cards.

Broadway and Beyond - Friday - Aiken Community Playhouse and Youth Wing's annual fundraiser with music, dance, scenes and monologues from many Broadway shows. 7:30 PM at the Aiken Community Playhouse. Tickets are $20.

Goal Setting & Focus Workshop for Kids - Saturday - Premier Martial Arts invites kids 5 - 12 to a fun workshop focusing on relationships, believing in one's self, decision making, focus and concentration. 10:30 - 11:30 AM. Free Event, but you do need to get a ticket before they sell out.

Loomis Brothers Circus - Friday, Saturday - World-class entertainment with exciting new acts, majestic animals and a live circus band. 7 PM Friday, 1, 4 and 7 PM Saturday at the USC Aiken Convocation center. 1 adult & 2 kids is $25.

Moonlight Music Jazz Cruise - Friday - Cruise down the scenic Augusta Canal and relax to live music. Bring snacks and drinks. Cost is $25, reservations required.

Music at the Morris - Sunday - Clarinetist Joseph Eller performs at The Morris Museum of Art. 2 - 3 PM. Free Event.

Musicians Hangout - Friday - Live music starting at 8 PM at The Men's Refinery BarberSpa.

Saturday Chef - Saturday - Helm's College Saturday cooking class continues with Cajun & Creole Cuisine. 10 AM - 12:30 PM. Cost is $75.

South Carolina State Equestrian Show - Friday, Saturday - 28 riders from around the state competing in various competitions. Opening ceremony Friday at 6. Competition Saturday at 8 AM. Aiken Horse Park Foundation.

Summer Health Fair - Friday - Start your summer learning how to live a healthier lifestyle at Virginia College in Augusta from 12 - 2 PM. Free Event.
