12 Things to do in Augusta this Weekend January 26-28


Fake It to Make It - Friday - A lip-sync contest you won't want to miss. All proceeds benefit safe homes of Augusta. 7:30 PM at The Miller Theater. Tickets are $15 - $50.

Family Movie Night - Friday - Free showing of Norm of the North at The Kroc Center. 6:30 PM. Free event.

Frozen Family Movie Night - Friday - Bring your by Yotopia between 3 PM and 10 PM dressed in their favorite frozen costume to receive a free cup! Frozen will be playing on loop all evening.

Girls Who Code - Friday - Kroc Center is offering an afterschool program to introduce kids to the coding world. They will work together to create a project. Ages 11 - 17 for this 14 week program starting today.

Jewels of the Old World, Wine Tasting Seminar - Friday - Wine World is hosting a night of wine tasting from Old World Spain and Italy. Try 9 wines accompanied by cheeses. Cost is $25 in advance, $30 at the door if open space.

Kiddos Night Out - Friday - Kids K5 through 5th grade can be dropped off at Artsy Me for dinner, and painting a clay snowman. Cost is $35 per child.

Kroc Health & Wellness Expo - Saturday - Free event to see what activities and classes are offered at the Kroc Center. Stop by to try them out. Fun starts at 12 PM. Free Event.

Lego Club - Friday - Free Lego Club for kids K - 5th grade. 4:30 PM at Nancy Carson Library in North Augusta. Free Event.

Paint and Create - Saturday - Local artists assist with step by step instructions to create your own painted masterpiece. No experience needed and supplies are included. 10 AM at the Kroc Center. Cost is $35.

Resolution 5k Run/Walk - Saturday - Get some exercise with a 5k supporting Christ Church Health Clinic. 9 AM at Savannah Rapids Pavilion. Cost is $25.

Skate with the Sirens - Friday - Skate the night away with Augusta's Roller Derby Siren's skaters. 7 - 11 PM.

Traxxas Monster Truck Tour - Friday, Saturday - Monster Truck Show with Freestyle Motorcross and more. 7:30 PM each night at James Brown Arena. Tickets are $15 - $33.
