13 Things to do in Augusta this Weekend May 11-13


Aiken Bluegrass Festival - Friday, Saturday - Two days of live Bluegrass music! Western Carolina State Fairgrounds in Aiken. Tickets $30 - $80.

Henna for Africa - Friday - Henna tattoos at Rooted Coffeehouse from 5 - 8 PM. $10 gets you a tattoo for a good cause.

Mother Daughter Cookie Class - Saturday - The Sweet Suite Bakeshop is hosting a themed cookie class where you and your daughter will decorate cookies with royal icing. Ages 5 and up. $40 for mother & daughter. 10 AM - 12 PM at The Sweet Suite Bakeshop. Registration required.

National Train Day - Saturday - Aiken Visitors Center and Train Museum are celebrating National Train Day with arts and crafts, face painting, bubbles, balolons and meet & greet with the train conductor. Free Event. Food available for purchase.

Paddlefest - Saturday - Paddle from downtown Augusta to the New Savannah Bluff Lock & Dam and then enjoy an after party at the Lock & Dam Park. Cost is $45.

Pampered Princess Night - Friday - Professional photos with your favorite princesses, face painting, hairstyling and more. 5 PM - 7:30 PM at Salon Surreal. $20 for mommy and daughter with funds going towards the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Retro Rodeo - Friday, Saturday - Professional Bull Riding, Barrel Racing and more at the Hippodrome Events Complex in North Augusta. Tickets start at $15.

Sister Act - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - Aiken Community Playhouse presents Sister Act. Tickets from $10 - $25.

Singin' in the Rain Jr. - Friday, Saturday - Jessye Norman School of the Arts is performing the broadway classic, Singin' in the Rain for their spring showcase. Shows at 5:30 PM Friday and 4 PM Saturday. Tickets are $10.

Stallings Island Kayak Tour - Saturday - Have you heard about the island with donkeys and goats?? Here's your chance to take a paddle tour with a pit stop to feed the donkeys and goats from the shore. Cole Watkins Tours will guide you on the paddle starting at 9 AM. $25 if you bring your kayak or $50 adult for kayak and tour or $20 kids kayak and tour.

Symphony Under The Stars - Saturday - Bring a picnic and enjoy the Symphony under the stars with Fireworks and fun for all ages. Free Admission. Ice Cream and drinks available for purchase to support the symphony. Fun starts at 6 PM, Concert begins at 7:30 PM.

The Little Mermaid - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - The Augusta Players present The Little Mermaid. Shows at 8 PM Friday, 2 & 8 PM Saturday and 3 PM Sunday. Tickets are $20-$46.

Yoga in the Park - Saturday - Fleet Feet Sports is hosting a 1 hour yoga workout at Evans Towne Center Park. 9 AM. Free Event.
