12 Things to do in Augusta this Weekend July 27-29

Chicken & Fish Fry - Saturday - To raise money for the World Series Team Trip to LA for Columbia County Boys 13 - 14 team. 11 AM - 3 PM at Patriots Park. $10 per plate.

Donut Dash - Saturday - Celebrating Fleet Feet Augusta's 9th Birthday they are having a 3 - 5 mile fun run/walk with donuts and mimosas. 8 - 10 AM. Free Event.

Family Movie Night - Friday - Watch Everyone's Hero at The Kroc Center's state of the art theater. Free showing at 6:30 PM.

Fandom Night at the Library - Saturday - Middle & high schoolers can come dressed as the biggest fans of whoever they are fans of. Harry Potter, Star Wars, Doctor Whos, Adventure time or anyone. Costume parade, art contest and more. 6 - 8 PM at The Augusta Library on Telfair St. Free Event.

Full Moon Paddle - Friday - Outdoor Augusta is taking a Full Moon Paddle at 8 PM. Bring your own kayak or rent one for the paddle.

Harry Potter's Birthday Party - Saturday - Celebrate 20 years of magic of Harry Potter with an enchanting birthday party at 2nd & Charles from 2 - 4 PM. Free Event.

Ice Cream Social - Saturday - Ice cream social at Riverwatch Brewery with specialtie's like Chocolate Milk Stout Float, Popsicle Bombs and if you come early you can get a Harry Potter special with a Butterbeer Float. 1 - 9 PM.

Movies on the Common - Friday - Watch Paddington 2 at The Augusta Common for Free. Pre-movie fun starts at 7:30 PM, show begins at dusk. Free Event, food available for purchase.

Oregon Wines Tasting - Friday - Taste 10 white wines from Oregon from 7 - 9 PM at Wine World. Cost is $30, register ahead of time.

Paint & Create - Saturday - Learn from a local artist step-by-step instructions for a theme painting. 10 AM - 1 PM at The Kroc Center.

Sing-A-long Friday - Friday - Take a break from the heat at the Nancy Carson Library and watch/sing along to The Wizard of Oz. 3 PM.

Time Travel Ball - Friday - Come dressed in clothes from your favorite time period and dance the night away from 8 - 11 PM at The Ballroom Dance Center.
