12 Things to do in Augusta this Weekend October 6-8


Augusta Market - Saturday - Shop the Augusta Market for local produce, baked goods, home decor, locally made art and plenty more! 8th Street Riverwalk Downtown Augusta starting at 8 AM.

Chamber Music Society Performance - Sunday - The Russian String Orchestra will be performing multiple pieces at 3 PM at the Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre. Cost is $40, Students $5, AU Students & Staff are free.

Drawing & It's Peripherals Reception - Friday - Jessye Normal School of the Arts Reception for an exhibit of contemporary drawing. Be one of the first to check it out from 5 - 8 PM at the Jessye Norman School of the Arts. Free Event.

Fall Concert Series - Sunday - The Lady & The Gents will be performing at the Augusta Commons from 6 - 8 PM. Food and Beverage Vendors on site. Cost is $8.

Fall Fest - Saturday - Elijah Clark State Park's 2nd Annual Fall Festival. Corn Hole, Mini Golf, Hayrides, Apple Bobbing, Bouncy House, Storytelling, Tours of Elijah Clark's Homestead, Pumpkin Patch and more. Admission is free with your park pass. Wristband for ALL activities is $5 per person or $25 per family.

FireK 5K - Saturday - Run or walk in support of firefighters and their families who are battling cancer. Run, Bouncy Houses, Activities for Kids, Fire Trucks and Displays. 9 AM at Evans Towne Center Park.

Kid's Night Out - Friday - Parents can drop their kids off for a fun night of gym play, inflatables, swimming, crafts and dinner at the Kroc Center. 6 - 10 PM. Cost is $20.

Kroc Taekwondo - Friday - Learn Olympic Style Taekwondo at the Kroc Center. Class for all ages. Try it out with one free class and then you can join monthly for $75. 5:30 PM at the Kroc Center.

Oliver Hardy Festival - Saturday - Harlem's annual Festival is here! Food, Shopping, Parade, Disney Characters and so much more. 300 Vendors, two stages of entertainment! 9 AM - 5 PM Downtown Harlem.

SEED Day - Saturday - Science Education Enrichment Day is the largest STEM festival in the area. 10 AM - 3 PM with interactive, hands-on activities in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Ruth Patrick Science Education Center in Aiken. Free Admission.

That Fall Family Fun Thing - Sunday - Free Family Festival by Cedar Creek West and The Aiken County Family YMCA. Games, Bounce Houses, Sno Cones, Music and more! 2 - 4 PM, rain or shine at Cedar Creek West in Graniteville. Free Event.

Westobou Festival - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - Visual Arts, Spoken Word, Film, Dance, Music & Fun will take place over the next week at this years celebration of the Westobou Festival. Many events at multiple venues throughout the week.
