Things to do in Augusta this Weekend June 1-3


Acrylics Made Easy - Saturday - Aiken Center for the Arts is teaching a painting class for ages 16 and up. Supplies are included and no experience is necessary. 10 AM - 2 PM, pack a lunch. Cost is $60.

Artrageous! Family Sunday - Sunday - Riverbanks Zoo is at the Morris talking about the cycle of life and animal parents. Kids can make their own animal puppets. 2 - 4 PM. at the Morris Museum of Art. Free Event.

Best Buddies Rescue - Saturday - If you're looking for a new 4-legged friend to add to the family swing by Best Buddies Rescue between 9 AM and 2 PM to see what puppies are up for adoption.

First Friday Cruise-In - Friday - Car enthusiasts can stop by Snocap Drive In in North Augusta to check out some awesome cars. Starts at 6 PM. Free Event.

First Friday Drop-In Wine Tasting - Friday - Stop in between 5 and 8 PM to try 6 wines. Cost is $5.

Mudbugabeaux-n-Brew - Saturday - Get your Cajun on at the annual Mudbugabeaux and Brew. Craft beer, live music, and Cajun fixin's from French Market Grille West. Admission is $10. Food and drinks for purchase. 12 - 6 PM at the Augusta Common.

Rent on Tour - Sunday - The Broadway show Rent will be at The Bell Auditorium as they continue their 20th anniversary tour of the production. Show starts at 7 PM. Tickets are $49 - $70.

Rock & Run 5k - Saturday - Run for those that can't with a trail run and fun run complete with music and cold water. Supporting When Help Can't Wait and our more than 2000 nursing home residents. 8 AM at Blanchard Woods Park. Cost is $15-$25.

Sleepy Saturday Movie Day for Teens - Saturday - Teens can bring their pillows and blankets to binge watch musical movies. 11 AM - 3 PM at the Augusta Library.

Superman Party - Saturday - Celebrate 80 years of Superman with a party full of crafts and activities for kids as part of 2nd and Charles' summer reading program. 2 - 4 PM. Free Event.

The Big Delicious Event - Sunday - Camp Gravatt is serving a 3 course dinner with the freshest ingredients to serve you while demonstrating his cooking techniques. Bring a bottle or two of wine to enjoy with your friends. 6 - 9 PM at Gravatt Camp and Conference Center. Cost is $50.

Van Gogh and Vino - Saturday - Put your painting skills to the test painting a wine bottle or wine glass while enjoying some wine of your own. 7:30 - 10 PM at Van Gogh and Vino. Cost is $30.

Weekend Beer Yoga - Saturday - Put your yoga pants on and head to Savannah River Brewing Co. for a yoga class for all skill levels followed by a pint of beer. 11:30 AM. $16 for yoga and a pint.
