14 Things to do in Augusta this Weekend September 21-23


Augusta U Brew-N'Que - Friday - Fun for the whole family...live music, inflatables, face painting, food, drinks and a fireworks show! Event held at D. Douglas Bernard Jr. Amphitheater 5:30 - 9 PM. Tickets are $15 for kids and AU students and $20 for adults.

Ace Hardware Anniversary - Saturday - Grovetown Ace Hardware is celebrating their 2 year anniversary all day with bucket sale, Big Green Egg & Traeger grilling, giveaways and more. 8 AM - 6 PM.

Cinema for a Cause - Sunday - Take in a movie at Riverwatch, Masters or Evans Cinemas for 100% of ticket proceeds going to local charities.

Creek Exploration Class - Saturday - Kids 5 - 15 can explore and learn about the critters that live in the creek with hands on activities. Registration is required.

Get Up, Get Out and Move 5k - Saturday - Family event with 5k fun run/walk, games, refreshments and givewaways. 7:30 AM at Diamond Lakes Regional Park. Cost is $15 - $25.

Hobbit Day - Saturday - Celebrate the Birthday of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins at the Augusta Library on Telfair at 2 PM with Lord of the Rings inspired crafts and activities.

Kid Jam 2018 - Saturday - A full day of fun at the Riverview Park Activities Center with 5 gyms packed with exhibitors providing services/products for families and children. Touch-a-truck, inflatables, arts and crafts, STEM Gym and more! 10 AM - 3 PM. Free Event.

Kid's Pumpkin Door Hanger Class - Saturday - My Best Friend's Sewing Room has a class for kids 8 and up to make a burlap door hanger. Cost is $33 and registration is required to reserve your seat.

Moonlight Hike - Saturday - Hike the Greystone Preserve by moonlight, exploring the forest at night. Campfire, s'mores and ghost stories following the hike. 8 - 10 PM. Registration required.

NCHA Area 18 Cutting Horse Fall Show - Saturday, Sunday - The Hippodrome in North Augusta hosts this 2 day event.

Silent Movie Night - Friday - Unique night of fun benefitting Sacred Heart. Watch the silent movie "Girl Shy." Concessions, beer and wine available for purchase. Tickets start at $15. Movie begins at 7:30 PM.

SRBC Oktoberfest - Saturday - Oktoberfest will be on draft, Mack's Street Eats serving brats, stein holding contest and more. 12:30 - 10 PM at Savannah River Brewing Co.

The Super Fun Show - Friday - Kid's concert with Shawn Brown and The Super Fun Show at the Kroc Center from 10 - 10:45.

Waterway Cleanup - Saturday - Outdoor Augusta and Savannah Riverkeeper is teaming up to help keep the waterways clean. From 9 AM - 12 PM you can ride the loop at Betty's branch to help clean up the area. Bring your own kayak or canoe or you can rent one.
