17 Things to do in Augusta this Weekend


Canal Fest - Saturday - Full day of fun and learning for the whole family. Live entertainment, 5k, 50 exhibitor booths, 6 food trucks, raffles and more. 9 AM - 3 PM at Mill Village Trailhead, 109 Eve Street and The Kroc Center. Free Event.

CSRA Veterans Day Tribute Concert - Saturday - Live music, inflatables, face painting and more starting at 2 PM at Evans Towne Center Park. Cost is $25, kids 12 and under are free.

Fall Book Sale - Friday, Saturday - Pick up a few early Christmas presents at the annual book sale at Nancy Carson Library in North Augusta.

Fall Concert Series - Sunday - The ABC Band will be performing at May Park in Augusta from 6 - 8 PM. Gates open at 5 PM, concert begins at 6 PM. Cost is $8.

Family Movie Afternoon - Saturday - The Kroc Center's state of the art theater will be open for a free showing of a kid-friendly Anime movie! Movie begins at 12:30 PM. Concessions available for purchase.

Head of the South Regatta - Saturday - Watch one of the largest head races in the Southeast Region. Hundreds of boats will race down the Savannah River. Races start at 6 AM at the Augusta Rowing Club.

Holiday Clay - Friday - Design and decorate your own holiday tree with a guided carving and sculpting session from Tire City Potters. Call to schedule a time - 706-294-3871.

Holiday Market - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - Shop the holiday market at the Columbia County Exhibition Center. Portion of the proceeds will be donated to Columbia County Community Connections. Cost is $10, kids 12 and under are free.

Holiday Open House - Friday, Saturday - Crickets Dry Goods is kicking off the holiday season with an open house with prizes, treats and discounts.

Mom's Night Out - Friday - Door prizes, cupcakes, drinks, raffle tickets and discounts at Kid to Kid Evans from 7 - 9 PM.

Movie Sing-a-long - Saturday - Sing a long to the Disney classic Mary Poppins. 3 PM at the Aiken County Public Library. Free Event.

Pickleball - Saturday - Ever tried pickleball? Drop In and play from 8 - 11 AM at The Kroc Center.

Remember When Rock was Young - Friday - Live music from Craig A Meyer, the best Elton John tribute artist. 7:30 PM at the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center in the Evans Library. Cost is $49.50.

RoBlox - Saturday - Kids can learn from professional educations a free lesson teaching fundamentals of computer science and programming through Roblox. 10:30 - 11:30 AM at the Columbia County Library. Free class, registration required.

Second Friday Dance - Friday - Learn to dance then dance the night away at The Ballroom Dance Center. Lesson from 8 - 8:30 PM, general dancing from 8:30 - 10:30 PM. Cost is $10.

So You Want to Be a Beekeeper? - Saturday - Learn all you need to know about starting beekeeping. Augusta Beekeeping Association will be teaching the class at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park from 1 - 3 PM. Free Event.

Walking Dead - Sunday - Every Sunday you can watch the new episode of The Walking Dead on the big screen at Riverwatch Cinemas. Seating begins at 7:30 PM and is first come first serve. Previous episodes will be shown leading up to the premier at 9 PM.
