Let the Christmas Festivities Begin!


Whether you just want to get out of the house or need to entertain out-of-town guests...here's a list of what's happening this holiday season! Let us know what events you make it to and post them in the comments or on our Facebook page!

December 1, 8, 15 - Holiday Market at the Marina - Shop local vendors to knock out your Christmas shopping list. 12 - 4 PM each Sunday at the 5th Street Marina in Downtown Augusta.

December 1 - 31 - Evans on Ice - Ice Skating and Winter Wonderland lights at Evans Towne Center Park. Ice Skating is $12-$15.

December 3 - North Augusta Tree Lighting & Hot Cocoa and Cookie Crawl - Festivities in Downtown North Augusta from 5 - 8 PM.

December 6th - Christmas Light Up Spectacular - Downtown Augusta at the Augusta Common. The fun starts at 6 PM with train rides, Santa Claus, Food Vendors, Music and ending with the Christmas Tree Lighting and Fireworks at 8 PM.

December 6th - Columbia County Tree Lighting - Evans Towne Center park featuring a holiday market from 4 - 8 PM, live music and performances and the tree lighting and fireworks at 8 PM.

December 6th - Elf on Shelf Party - CommuniGraphics in North Augusta is having a welcome back party for the Elf. Make Elf snack mix, enjoy an Elf zip line, photos with Santa and a coloring contest with prizes.

December 6th - Santa at Pelican's Snoballs - Take pictures with Santa and enjoy some kids crafts. free event. The fun starts at 6 PM.

December 6, 7 - Evans Holiday Market - Get in some holiday shopping along with local vendors and free hayrides at Evans, Towne Center Park from 4 - 9 PM Friday and 12 - 8 PM Saturday.

December 7th - Grovetown's Annual Christmas Festival - Grovetown's Annual Christmas Festival at the Grovetown Leisure & Recreation Center from 2 - 4 PM. Live music, dance groups, tree lighting, and Santa is coming with snow!

December 7th - Pet Pictures with Santa - Care More Animal Hospital invites you to bring your pets for photos with Santa for a $5 donation. 11 AM - 3 PM.

December 7th - Breakfast with Santa - Head to Chick-fil-A at the Augusta Mall Food Court for arts, crafts and pictures with Santa.

December 7th - Frozen Wonderland Event - The Exchange at Fort Gordon is having a day of arts and crafts and a visit from Anna and Elsa. 10 AM - 2 PM.

December 7th - Christmas in Harlem - Head to Harlem for a night of Christmas fun. Parade at 5:30 PM, Tree lighting at 7 PM, Movie on the Lawn at 7:30 PM. Free Event.

December 8th - Columbia County CHRISTmas Parade - Bring your chairs/blankets and grab a spot on Belair Road between Washington Road and Cox Road for the annual Christmas Parade at 2 PM.

December 8th - Santa, Scents & Sweets - Take pictures with Santa and make custom scented soap in Christmas molds and decorate a Christmas cookie. Open to all ages. Cost is $25.

December 12th - Night of 1000 Lights - Downtown Aiken invites you to shop the downtown streets lined with luminaries. Santa will be there with elves and carolers. 6 - 8 PM in Downtown Aiken.

December 12 - 15 - Hayride Through the Life of Christ - Take a hayride through the life of Christ with free crafts and hot cocoa while you wait for your ride. Free Event at the Columbia County Fairgrounds.

December 13th - Movie Night & Smores with the GreenJackets - Come watch a holiday movie on the big screen with your whole family. $5 admission, kids 5 & under are free.

December 13th - Holiday Family Movie Night - Free movie at the Kroc Center's state of the art theater.

December 14th - Auggie's Holiday BUZZar & Market - head to the GreenJackets Stadium to shop the Holiday Vendor Market supporting local vendors, see Santa & Mrs. Claus, play on the inflatables and enjoy Hot Chocolate and Coffee. Free Event. Special prize if you bring an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.

December 14th - Augusta Christmas Parade - Downtown Augusta Christmas Parade starts at 6PM in Downtown Augusta near the Augusta Common.

December 14th - 23rd - Christmas in Hopelands - Stroll through the beautiful lights filling Hopeland Gardens. Shuttles will bring you to the gardens from the parking area. Live music most nights at 7 PM. Free Event with refreshments and letter writing to Santa.

December 14th - A Merrie Olde Christmas Concert - All-English Christmas concert from the Augusta Chroal Society. 7:30 PM.

December 14th - Pictures and Pancakes with Santa - Santa is stopping at Timms Harley-Davidson of Augusta for pancakes, hot chocolate, crafts, pictures with Santa and an appearance by the Grinch.

December 15th - Holiday Cookie Stroll - Explore Downtown Aiken's Shops as you enjoy cookies from participating businesses. 1 - 4 PM.

December 15, 18 - Flashback Cinema - Watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation on the big screen at Evans Cinemas. 1 & 7 PM Sunday and 4 PM Wednesday. Movie tickets can be purchased online or at the theater.

December 18th - Cookies with Mrs. Claus - Join Mrs. Claus and Santa Cow for a fun craft night from 5 - 7 PM at the Evans Chick-fil-A.

December 19th - Bonfire and a Movie - Bring your own chair and watch The Polar Express at Timms Harley Davidson starting at 7 PM. Beer and S'mores available for purchase.

December 20, 21, 22 - The Nutcracker - Watch a live performance of The Nutcracker from the Aiken Civic Ballet. Tickets start at $25.

December 21st - Mistletoe Market - Grab those last minute gifts from local Augusta vendors at Augusta & Co in Downtown Augusta.

December 26th - A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage - Live at the Miller Theater watch your favorite holiday classic come to life on stage. Show is at 7 PM. Tickets are $35 - $69.

December 30th - Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker - Celebrate the holiday tradition of Tchaikovsky's the Nutcracker on stage at the Miller Theater at 7 PM. Tickets start at $29.

December 30th - January 2nd - Winter Art Camp - Looking for a place to drop your kids off over winter break? 4 Day art camp at Art & Soul from 11 AM - 2 PM each day. Cost is $100.
