21 Things to do in Augusta this Weekend February 2-4


Aiken Antique Show - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 19th annual antique show and sale starting at 10 AM at the Aiken Center for The Arts. Collectors' Cafe, Panel Discussions and more. Tickets are $15.

Animal Adoption at the Airport - Friday - Augusta Animal Services is hosting a Pet Adoption Day from 11 AM - 6 PM at the Augusta Regional Airport. Airport parking is free for 30 minutes, and free parking if you adopt a pet. Dogs and cats have been spayed/neutered and are $25.

First Friday Drop-In Wine Tasting - Friday - Stop in Wine World in North Augusta between 5 and 8 PM to try 3 reds and 3 whites and learn about the regions the wines came from. Cost is $5.

Flashback Cinema - Sunday - Watch the musical that won 9 Academy Awards on the big screen. Evans Cinemas is showing Gigi at 2 & 7 PM. Cost is regular ticket price.

Footloose The Musical - Friday, Saturday - Davidson Fine Arts presents Footloose The Musical. Shows start at 7 PM at Davidson Fine Art's Barnhart Theater. Tickets are $8 - $15.

Friends of Augusta Book Sale - Saturday - The main library lobby at the August-Richmond County Public Library will be filled with books of all kinds! 10 AM - 3 PM.

Georgia Bridal Show - Sunday - Find wedding ideas and trends at this year's bridal show. 12:30 - 4 PM at the Bell Auditorium. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

Ice Cream for Breakfast - Saturday - Celebrate national ice cream for breakfast day with waffles and ice cream! 9 AM - 12 PM at Flanigan's Ice Cream in Aiken.

Introduction to Jewelry Design - Friday - Try your hand at jewelry design. Learn the basic techniques and make your own earrings and either a bracelet or necklace. 5 PM at Hobby Lobby. Cost is $40 for the 2 hour class, supplies not included.

Kid's Night Out - Friday - Your kids will love a night out at the Kroc Center with dinner, gym play, inflatables and swimming! Ages 2 - 12 years old. 6 - 10 PM. Cost is $15 members, $20 nonmembers.

Love Mugs - Friday - Design a mug for a special someone. Create custom craft handles and paid your mug. 3 PM at Tire City Potters. Cost is $45 and includes supplies.

Mommy & Me Date Night - Friday - Moms can bring their kids to Yotopia for a free cup of frozen yogurt with your purchase. 1 Free cup per adult, additional kids cups for $5 to fill up! 3 - 10 PM at Yotopia Frozen Sweets & Treats.

Pajama Party Charity Event - Saturday - Stop in the Aiken Brewing Company for a bite to eat and help out a good cause. They are collecting new pairs of kid's pajamas for admission. Pajamas are going to children in foster care. 6:30 - 9 PM.

Pasta Festival Dinner - Friday - Annual celebration with meatballs, homemade pasta sauce, bread and salad. Plates are $9 each. Lunch plates available 11 AM - 2 PM an dinner plates from 4:30 - 8 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic School.

Puppy Bowl Tailgate Party - Saturday - Check out the pups t hat are available for adoptions and enjoy game day refreshments, a fire pit and games. It's the 52nd Super Bowl so they are offering a $52 discount on adoption fees. 5:30 - 8:30 PM at Graced Kennels.

reNew & Brew - Friday - Sample craft beers from the Southeast's breweries and enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres by Helms College chefs. All proceeds benefiting Helms College. 7 - 11 PM at The Snelling Center. Tickets are $75.

Reid on the Run Fun Run & 5k - Saturday - Help erase MS with a fun run at 9 AM and 5k race at 9:30 AM. Registration starts at 8:30 AM. 2261 Walton Way.

Super Bowl Party - Sunday - Watch the game on the big screen at the Doris Building in downtown Augusta. 4 - 11:30 PM. DJ, games, food and more! 21 & up. Cost is $45.

TEDxAugusta - Saturday - TED Talks video and live speakers sparking deep discussions and connecting in small group settings. Starts at 10 AM. Tickets are $65.

Tidal Wave Car Wash Grand Opening - Saturday, Sunday - Tidal Wave Auto Spa in Evans is celebrating their grand opening with free car washes. Stop in to get a free wash!

YMCA Dance Party - Friday - Learn to dance ballroom, swing and latin and then dance the night away. Cost is $8 for dance lesson and party, free to members. 7 PM at the Wilson Family YMCA.
