Augusta's Handmade Fair - Friday - Shop over 40 local artists with all proceeds going to Sojourn Church in Uganda. Free admission. 5 - 9 PM at The Doris Building.

Beginners Chess for Kids - Saturday - Augusta Public Library is offering a beginners chess class to teach them how to play. 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Free Event, but sign-up is required.

Candlelight Jazz - Sunday - Live Music at the Augusta Common from 7:30 - 9:30 PM. Bring blankets, chairs and a picnic for a night under the stars.

Cinco De Mayo Fun Run/Walk - Saturday - Free 3-5 miles run with Fleet Feet Sports. 8 AM - 10 AM with snacks, beverages, margaritas and more following the run.

Cinco Saturday - Saturday - Largest block party on this side of the border! 2 - 9 PM at Evans Towne Center Blvd behind Lady A. Music, Food Trucks, Pinatas and Margaritas. Tickets are $5.

Coffee and Cars - Saturday - Bring your car to show off or come check out all the other amazing cars. 9 AM - 12 PM at Dayspring Baptist Church. Free Event.

Columbia County Giant Yard Sale - Saturday - Shop this huge yard sale of over 200 vendors at the Columbia County Fairgrounds from 7 AM - 12 PM.

Dance Under the Stars - Saturday - Dance the night away at Greystone open-air pavilion in North Augusta. Intro lesson to swing/hustle followed by 2 1/2 hours of open dancing, drinks and snacks. 8 - 11 PM. Tickets are $10.

Dancing Stars of Augusta - Friday - Watch local celebrities dance with professionals to raise money for Alzheimer's research and programs. 6 PM at the Augusta Marriott Convention Center. Each dollar you donate counts as a vote to your favorite dancing pair.

Derby Day Gala & Hat Party - Friday - Imperial Theatre's 100th Anniversary Event with beer tasting, drink specials, reception, free concert and free screening of A Day at the Races. 7 - 10 PM at the Imperial Theatre. Tickets are $15.

Downtown Loft Tour - Friday, Saturday - Historic Augusta's annual Loft Tour gives you a look inside private loft apartments and other historic buildings. 6 - 9 PM Friday, 10 AM - 4 Pm Saturday. Tickets are $20 advance, $25 day of. Tour headquarters is in front of the JB Whites building.

Goodboats Race - Saturday - Come out and watch the Dragon Boats compete! 9 AM - 5 PM at Lake Olmstead for a day of family fun!. Free admission.

May Pub Run - Friday - Run Augusta is going through 4.5 miles and 5 bars. Bring your ID and beer money.

Moonlight Paddle - Saturday - Head out for a moonlight paddle down the Augusta Canal. Set off at 7:45 PM. Rent a kayak for the tour or bring your own. $10 guide fee or $30 - $50 for rental.

Neighborhood BBQ Fest - Saturday - Grovetown Ace Hardware is having their first neighborhood BBQ Fest from 11 AM - 2 PM. Free Event.

Parent's Night Out - Friday - StikeForce MMA invites your kids to bring their nerf guns for a night of fun while you go out. Pizza, drinks, games an prizes. 5:45 - 9 PM. $20 members, $25 non-members, $10 additional kids.

Parent's Night Out YMCA - Saturday - Kids 2 - 12 can be dropped off from 6 - 11 PM for a RIO themed parent's night out. Games, dancing, food and more! Wilson Family YMCA. Cost is $10 members, $20 non-members.

Revenge of the Fifth: Star Wars Story Time - Saturday - Augusta Public Library invites your little ones to experience Star Wars through stories, crafts, snacks and more. 1 - 2 PM. Free Event.

The Little Mermaid Jr. - Friday, Saturday - See Greenbrier High perform The Little Mermaid Jr.! 7 PM each night. Tickets are $5.
